Time.com has a post this week touting Food & Wine's list of the 25 best burgers in the U.S. The only problem is, it's the same fucking list that gets put out every fucking year.

Day 2 of Burger Week saw us hit up one of our longtime favorites. In the D.C. burger game, Ray's Hell Burger is one of the veteran players, churning out the goods in Arlington since 2008.

Well, this is not exactly the most graceful exit for the iconic Arlington burger joint.

Have no fear D.C.-- Ray's Hell Burger didn't die, it just crossed the street.

Ok, everybody, don't freak the fuck out, but some disturbing news comes to our attention today by way of Reddit. We hope to God it's merely temporary but it appears that Ray's Hell Burger has, at least momentarily, shuttered.

It's been a while since we had a good old fashioned burger rant but seeing the ridiculous amount of attention given to Zagat's "Best Burgers in D.C." list last week has pushed us to let loose.

We're happy to see some of our favorite burger joints in D.C. repped well in the June issue of Washingtonian.

Ray's Hell Burger Too is being replaced by a steak and cheese joint. This is not a repeat.

If it didn't necessitate wearing pants with an elastic waistband for the rest of our lives, we could definitely get used to this burger-a-day thing.

Our latest visit to Ray's reaffirmed their spot on our list as one of D.C.'s best. It's just so right.

The Washington City Paper published their Best of D.C. 2012 Food & Drink winners today and WCP readers selected Black & Orange as the best burger in D.C.
