Those looking to get into the Halloween spirit and throw a burger or two down the hatch are in luck. Today, Mad Fox Brewing Company is hooking up not one, but three special burgers for "Epic Burger Wednesday."

As the D.C.-area braces for Hurricane Sandy, burger joints everywhere are battening down the hatches today. All D.C.-area Shake Shacks, BGR The Burger Joints, Black & Oranges and Reston's be right burger are closed today, so you'll have to find your fix elsewhere.

For three hours last Friday, we stuffed our faces with burgers and washed 'em down with a near-endless supply of beer. At the end of the night back at the hotel, the smell of burgers continued to envelop our beings and sent us off to sleep with visions of beef patties dancing in our heads.

So it's official, the Z-Burger Curse is a thing.
