A few years ago, we declared Tysons the D.C.-area burger capital but now it looks like Mosaic District is coming for the title. With an already stellar selection of ground beef options, local chain BGR the Burger Joint will be joining the Merrifield development's lineup later this year.
The new BGR – the first dedicated burger joint at Mosaic – will be located behind the Angelika theater, BGR president Nate Ripley told us, down towards the boutique shops and Brine on District Avenue. With Red Apron/B Side and Brine, two of the best burgers in all of the D.C. area, plus solid entries from Matchbox, DGS and Ted's Bulletin, the Mosaic District burger lineup is fast approaching all-star status.
But while Mosaic may be creeping up on the D.C. burger crown, there's still one big trump card Tysons is holding: Shake Shack.
So, how 'bout it, Mosaic...got room for one more?
