It's a bratwurst kinda month as BTS and Social Burger bust out Oktoberfest burgers, Dogwood goes double decker (and pimento) on us and an excommunicated burger at Bobby's Burger Palace makes an unnecessary comeback.

Burger Tap & Shake
While we primarily associate Oktoberfest with giant steins of booze, accordions and the cinema classic "Beerfest," a close runner-up is brat-topped burgers. BTS is all over that tradition this year with their October BOTM – named simply
Oktoberfest – featuring a beefy patty topped with a split-and-griddled brat, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut and beer mustard.

Bobby's Burger Palace
Oh, Bobby and your Burger Palace, how you disappoint us so. This month brings the uninspired
Buffalo Burger to the mix, a creation that was cast off from BBP's regular lineup last year during a
menu overhaul. Doing its best hot wing impression, the Palace's October BOTM tops the beef with blue cheese dressing, blue cheese crumbles, hot sauce and watercress, though for some ridiculous reason, they decided to ditch the bacon this time.

Dogwood Tavern
When it comes to burgers, two is better than one. So, Dogwood's
Double Decker Smash Burger featuring two beef-and-ground-bacon patties, melted pimento, bacon, shredded lettuce, red onion and a special sauce (our money's on thousand island) should be a good one. Also of note, this is the second consecutive month Dogwood has used pimento cheese in its BOTM. Ain't nothing wrong with that.

Social Burger
Rather than top the beef with a brat, Vienna's Social Burger ditches the ground beef and instead comes with an all-brat patty covered in sauerkraut, mustard and serves it on a pretzel bun this month. Say "guten tag" to the
Bratwurst Burger.
