Shake Shack's annual Oktoberfest promotion (dubbed Shacktoberfest, natch) returns tomorrow, however, this year the burger slingers are lightening up on the meat and bringing more carbs into the mix.

It's a bratwurst kinda month as two area joints bust out Oktoberfest burgs, another goes double decker on us and an excommunicated burger makes a unnecessary comeback.

It's that time of the year again when Shake Shack goes Deutschland on us with brat-topped-burgers, sausages and tall, frosty steins of limited-time booze during their 8th annual Shacktoberfest celebration staring this Friday.
