National Hamburger Week has come and gone and so has any chance of fitting into our Speedos this summer.

First things first – this is not a conventional burger. For National Hamburger Week, Red Apron chef Nathan Anda went outside of the box and down the street a block or two when he created the B Side special.

In just two days time, National Hamburger Week begins and this year we're bringing you a full seven days' worth of spectacular burgers from the D.C. area's very best joints.

Come on, just look at this lineup: B Side, Burger Tap & Shake, DCity Smokehouse, Holy Cow, Mad Fox, The Pig and Right Proper. That's some serious burger slinging.

The meat mavens at B Side are giving the sandwich of all sandwiches its own night of the week over at their Mosaic joint and we couldn't be happier. Get ready for Burger Mondays, everybody.

"Italian beef is my favorite sandwich in the world," Nate Anda says as I stare at his latest burger creation set to debut at the brand new B Side opening up Saturday in Mosaic District.
