Wiinky’s Shutting Down in Ballston

The late-night Ballston burger joint Wiinky's is closings its doors.
ARLnow.com reports that the almost two-year-old burger slinger on Wilson Boulevard did not get its lease renewed and will be grilling its last patties on March 31. This marks the second Ballston burger joint to shut down in the past seven months with
brgr:shack closing last September.
Wiinky's
first opened in April of 2011 and with a 3 a.m. closing time, was especially popular among the late night after-bar crowd. We hit them up on several occasions and while it wasn't the best burger in Arlington, or even in Ballston, it did the job of soaking up the booze during our benders.
Owner Ryan Shandel said if he finds an affordable place, Wiinky's could open up somewhere else in Arlington.
