Despite some delays, Citizen Burger Bar is still planning to open in Arlington this year. District manager Julie Marchbanks told Burger Days while a specific date has yet to be set, the Charlottesville-based burger slingers hope to open their second outpost in Clarendon this December. Citizen Burger Bar is just one drop in the greasy ocean of burger joints invading D.C. in this latest beef tsunami. Social Burger in Vienna made its full-time debut two weeks ago, Connecticut-based Plan B Burger Bar's first D.C. outpost opened on Pennsylvania Avenue just last Monday and the wine-burger bar hybrid, Zinburger, has plans for an early 2015 opening in the brand-new Springfield Town Center. When its doors finally open, you can find the Citizen Burger Bar beef at 3001 Washington Boulevard in Arlington.
