This Week in Burger Days saw a well-behaved BD crew get a taste of a classier burger, an influx of D.C. burger coverage from Eater and a D.C. restaurant veteran decides to switch it up. DC's in the house, so jump, jump and rejoice into This Week In Burger Days.

Eater DC Does Burger Week

Eater up and decided this past week would be dedicated to all things burger. While it's an everyday thing for us, we were more than happy with their decision to get in on the burger love.  The DC Eater crew were on their toes this week putting out some quality coverage on the burger scene in the nation's capital including a pretty sweet burger-off between three of the District's top chefs. In addition to their posts and contests, they also ran a series of "Best Burger" polls in varying categories. Five Guys won the burger chain crown, Good Stuff took the fast-casual title, BLT Steak was top gourmet burger and Matchbox and their sliders took the wildcard. The four faced off to see who'd represent D.C. in the national burger poll, and @ChefSpike 's Good Stuff Eatery won in a landslide. They're up now in the national contest and it looks like Spike's posse is out in full force again as they've got a big lead in the voting. Polls are open until Monday AM, so show some hometown love and give 'em your vote. [ Eater DC's Burger Week ]

Palena Rocks Our Socks

We don't stick to just the bars, dives and dedicated burger joints on our beefy jaunts through the D.M.V. We are capable of cleaning ourselves up from time-to-time and manage to get into some of the chicer joints around town. During one of our better behaved burger runs last week, we hit up the classy Palena in Cleveland Park and got a taste of Chef Frank Ruta's widely-acclaimed cheeseburger. Harry's Is Going to the Burgers

Harry's in Pentagon City Mall is going all burger on us and switching up their stuff going from Tap Room to Smokehouse-Burgers & BBQ. The D.C.-area restaurant veteran will feature six different burgers when they debut their new joint next Tuesday. [ Harry's Goes Burgers ]
