Saying Goodbye to Summer With Big Burgers

With summer just about wrapped up, we did one last tango with the grill over Labor Day weekend.

Ditching our go-to smashed griddled patties, we went with the big-ass beef for this burger session and hooked up a 7-ounce patty topped with caramelized onions, aged English cheddar, candied bacon and a sauce based on the one that comes on NYC’s burger of the moment, the Emmy Burger.

OK, Summer, you’re dismissed.
