Turkey, Steak, Pimiento & Boring On the April BOTM Menu
If one more person tells us “spring has sprung,” we might seriously murder someone. So instead of telling you shit you already know about the weather, here’s the scoop on this month’s BOTMs.
BGR The Burger Joint
If we didn’t have a calendar, we’d be able to tell the season by the return of BGR’s Turkey Cobb. The salad-turned-sandwich takes lettuce, tomato, bacon, blue cheese crumbles and avocado and slaps it on a turkey burger. But you know what trumps the Turkey Cobb? The Beef Cobb.
Shake of the Month: With the tidal basin blooming, the Cherry Blossom shake with fresh cream, wild cherries and vanilla bean custard is the SOTM.
Bobby’s Burger Palace
Bringing the south to your mouth (Dear God, did we really just write that? Somebody punch us in the face.), BBP’s Pimiento Burger tops the beef with the southern favorite cheese, bacon and some cayenne pepper. Bam.

brb be right burger
A Burger-of-the-Month-that’s-not-a-burger comes to your face from Be Right Burger this time with the Steakhouse Shout-Out. This one is full of sliced steak, mushrooms, caramelized onions and provolone on a hoagie roll. That’s cool and all but from a burger joint we expect more than a steak sandwich.
Shake of the Month: Marshmallows. Peanut butter. Together. In a Shake. Yeah, we can get down with that. Fluffernutter.

After a dynamite March BOTM, Dogwood goes boring this go ’round with the Mediterranean Burger. Seriously Dogwood? You go from grilled-cheese-sandwich buns to a pesto burger with roasted red pepper and feta? You’re killing us.

(We’re always on the lookout for BOTMs. If you know of another D.C.-area joint that hooks up a monthly special burger, email us and let us know.)
