Kicking off this month, instead of just highlighting one burger, we're tripling it up and giving you the scoop on a trio of limited-time burgers. Until now, BGR was the sole burger of the month we featured, but now, we're adding brgr:shack and fresh-to-the-D.C.-scene Bobby's Burger Palace to the mix. Let's get to it.

BGR The Burger Joint

Coming off their ridiculously good Triple D burger last month, BGR breaks out the France-inspired Au Poivre burger for September. The burger hooks up a red, green and pink peppercorn-encrusted patty with Dijon mustard and a secret reduction sauce. It's all served up on a buttered brioche for $10.99. Oh, for those weeping burger-y tears over the end of the Triple D, we hear it's still available, off the menu. Shhhhh, it's a secret. Shake of the Month: Apple Pie Shake with with apples, cinnamon and nutmeg, with vanilla ice cream and topped with whipped cream. $4.99. 8 Locations in D.C., Maryland and Virginia | bgrtheburgerjoint.com

Beer-battered anything + beef = SCORE

When we first heard brgr's September BOTM was the Shroom Burger, we let out a groan. You know how we roll-- we're all about the meat. But when we found out the burger does, in fact, come with one of their oh-so-tasty grass-fed beef patties, our bellies started growling. On top of the meat comes melted cheddar, Swiss, Shack Sauce, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle and one big honkin' beer-battered, panko crust fried Portobello. Sign us up. Shake of the Month: Black & White Shake with vanilla bean ice cream and chocolate fudge swirl. 4125 N. Fairfax Drive | Arlington | brgrshack.com

Screw Cheyenne, give us a D.C. burg.

Bobby Burger Palace

September will be Bobby's Burger Palace's first full month in D.C. and while the crew has yet to pay a visit, we've got it on our imminent to-do list. This month, BBP is hooking up the Cheyenne Burger with smoked cheddar, bacon, BBQ sauce and shoestring onion rings. Great--Wyoming gets a shout-out but we're still waiting for our D.C. burger, Flay.... 2121 K Street, NW | DC | bobbysburgerpalace.com
Know of any other D.C.-area joints hooking up a special, limited-time burger? Drop us a line and let us know and we'll give it a shout out here.
