It takes a pretty out-of-this-fucking-world burger to get our jaws to drop but the Crew's collective mandibles hit the floor when we stumbled upon the Burger of the Week at Dogfish Head Alehouse in Fairfax.

Cheese makes everything better and nobody can tell us different.

There's a rainbow of burger flavors on the menu this week, as a potpourri of ingredients get sprinkled on the beef at both Joe's Burgers in McLean and Dogfish Head Alehouse's three locations in Virginia and Maryland.

Dogfish Head Alehouse introduces a new trio of Burgers of the Week this go 'round with a chili burger and bacon-cheese fry combo leading the pack.

This week at Dogfish Head, we get one repeat and two new burgers of the week coming to your faces.

In addition to churning out the boozers, the three D.C.-area Dogfish Head Alehouses also get a little burger crazy. The restaurants, in Gaithersburg, Falls Church and Fairfax, each hook up a different burger special every week throughout the year.

Today marks the opening of the D.C.-area's first-ever location of Smashburger-- a Denver-based burger chain that has been not-so quietly and not-so slowly spreading like wildfire across the U.S.

OK, so best news of the week so far is that Denver-based burger joint Smashburger has finally landed in the D.M.V. and will open its doors in Fairfax early next month.
