Shake Shack is spreading in D.C. and that's a beautiful thing. The burger joint announced in a press release today that it will be opening its second full-time D.C. location in the Spy Museum Complex in mid-2013. Let the celebrating commence. The new spot will be located next to the International Spy Museum at 800 F Street NW in Penn Quarter and will feature the full Shake Shack lineup. The NYC-based Shake Shack opened its first D.C. spot in DuPont Circle in May of 2011, quickly followed by a stand in Nats Park and since their D.C. invasion, the ShackBurger has become a favorite of the Burger Days Crew. More recently, the addition of the SmokeShack, with bacon and cherry pepper relish, to the permanent menu has us completely smitten with the place. We look forward to gettin' our burger and spy on next year.
