Shake Shack & Good Stuff Eatery Honoring Rachael Ray With Special D.C. Burgers
Rachael Ray, arguably the biggest food personality around and host of the greatest event of the year, is getting feted big time next month when 10 top chefs come together for a burger bonanza in celebration of the 10th anniversary of her magazine, Every Day With Rachael Ray.
So what does that mean for us here in D.C.? Well, it means we’re getting hooooooked up.
In tribute to the culinary queen, the District will be getting two, exclusive-to-D.C., limited-time-only burgers from Shake Shack and Good Stuff Eatery in October.
In a coup for D.C., Shake Shack culinary director Mark Rosati has created the Pickled Jalapeno Burger, a cheeseburger topped with crispy marinated shallots, Gordy’s Thai basil pickled jalapenos and sriracha which will be sold exclusively at the
Dupont Shack F Street Shack* both Dupont and F Street Shacks. Sorry, New Yorkers. And over at Capitol Hill’s Good Stuff Eatery, Spike Mendelsohn will sling the Double Peppers and Onions Burger topped with provolone, a medley of sautéed onions, red and serrano peppers and a sun-dried tomato mayo.
Good Stuff’s peppers and onions burger is $7.25 and will be available starting tomorrow, October 1, and runs through the month while Shake Shack’s pickled jalapeno special is $6.19 and will be available from Tuesday, October 13 though Sunday, October 18.
Other chefs taking part in Rachael Ray’s 10-year celebration include Alex Guarnaschelli, Katie Lee, Stephanie Izard, Michael White, Michael Symon, Josh Capon, Sunny Anderson and Marc Murphy.
*Due to an equipment issue, the Shake Shack special has been moved from Dupont to F Street.
