A fresh batch of BOTMs hits the streets of the D.M.V this month featuring two that are just about i-damn-dentical, one inspired by a Mountain State and two which, unfortunately, make stars outta some birds.
BGR The Burger Joint
Comin' to the stage this month at BGR is the
Caprese burger with a hunk of fresh buffalo mozzarella, a fat slice of beefsteak tomato, basil and aged balsamic vinegar. If this sounds a little familiar, it is. This red, white and green topped BOTM was formerly known as
the X-Mas burger when it was featured at BGR last December. X-Mas, Caprese-- call it what you want, we'll bite.
Shake of the Month: One of our favorite pies takes on the ice cream with the Key Lime Pie shake with key limes, graham crackers, vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. The Conch Republic ain't got shit on this one.

Bobby's Burger Palace
B. Flay: "I've got an idea. Let's take the least populated state in the country --one that's in the middle of nowhere-- and make 'em a burger".
B. Days: "That's cool and all, but what about Washington, D.C., the Nation's Capital and home to one of your most popular burger joints?"
B. Flay: "Fuck 'em." *
(The
Cheyenne Burger with smoked cheddar, BBQ sauce, bacon and shoestring onion rings.)
* Not an actual conversation. This exchange occurred solely in the head of a Burger Days crewmember when writing this post.

brb be right burger
Though they call it a Burger of the Month, the name of it gives it away and shows its true colors: the
California Chicken Sandwich. The second-ever BOTM from Be Right Burger and they're already going poultry on us. For what it's worth, the thing has avocado, provolone, lettuce, tomato and chipotle limo mayo on it. Can't say approve of this one, but hey, if you're feeling the chicken, jump on it. (Or go Burger Days-style and swap it out for some beef.)

Dogwood Tavern
Stop us if you've heard this one. This month's BOTM is a little Italian number with basil, mozzarella and tomato and it's called... wait for it... the
Caprese! What's that? There's another burger called the...oh shit.
Awkward...

brgr:shack
Another West Coast BOTM, this
California burger goes for the turkey rather than chicken. Avocados, avocado ranch, lettuce, tomato, onions and pepper jack round out the toppings on this sucker and we're once again left shouting, "Where's the beef?"

(We're always on the lookout for BOTMs. If you know of another D.C.-area joint that hooks up a monthly special burger, email us and let us know.)
