East Coast Tops West Coast for Best Burger In Zagat Survey

Once again, the local boys topped the West Coast kids for best burger.
Five Guys, born and raised in Northern Virginia, was the top burger pick for fast-food chains, topping
In-N-Out Burger for the second straight year in
Zagat's Fast-Food Survey. Â Last year, Five Guys unseated In-N-Out as best burger winner for the first time.
Rounding out the top 5 fast-food burgers are Wendy's, Burger King and McDonald's.
Five Guys also got props for their fries, finishing second only to McDonald's, and took the fourth spot in the Top Food Among Large Chains category.
On the full-service chain front, Red Robin took the top burger spot with Steak 'n Shake, Cheesecake Factory (really?), Chili's and Ruby Tuesday filling out the rest.
Results were taken from over 6,000 responses in Zagat's 2011 Fast Food Survey.

It's been a while since we had a good old fashioned burger rant but seeing the ridiculous amount of attention given to Zagat's "Best Burgers in D.C." list last week has pushed us to let loose. Not only does the list contain some pretty glaring omissions, but it falls prey…
