Don’t Call it a Comeback: Rogue States to Re-Open at End of the Month
UPDATE: Latest we hear is that Black & Orange opens today, Friday, July 1. Permit delays prevented them from opening Thursday. We're hearing the re-opening has been pushed back to Thursday, June 30 a yet undetermined date. Still waiting on confirmation... (Thanks @SirBehrad @ArdiMD)
Rogue States, the Connecticut Ave. burger joint that shut down suddenly eight months ago, is about to be back on the scene.
The D.C. burger fave that was
forced to close by court order last October because their sweet, sweet burger-y fumes were making a fellow tenant's employees ill is planning toÂ
re-open later this month under the new name Black & Orange.
And, as an added bonus, owner Raynold Mendizabal says a second location near the U Street Metro stop on 14th Street is shooting for an early September opening.
