You best be preppin' your bellies for an onslaught of beef next month, a Burger Days D.C. favorite is coming to Falls Church, the N.Y.C. meat man is hooking up the District and introducing the B.I.L.B.
Hop your ass into This Week in Burger Days....
Hide your kids, hide your wife, National Hamburger Week is just over three weeks away. The Burger Days crew will be jumpin' in head first, tackling seven burgers in seven days on location in Las Vegas, all the while trying not to go broke or contract any communicable diseases. One of our favorite D.C. burgers will be available in Northern Virginia come Fall 2012, when Matchbox opens up a new spot in the currently-in-development Mosaic project in Merrifield. Matchbox's Bistro Burger, which made it's debut on our fave list during Burger Days II, is a blue cheese and bacon number that does our bellies right. Pat LaFrieda, the man behind the meat at the top NYC steak and burger joints including Shake Shack, will be bringing his beef to the D.C. Â Shacks at Nats Park and 18th St. when they open later this spring. [ LaFrieda Hookin' Up the D.C. Shacks ]
Burger Days has teamed up with the cool kids at Brightest Young Things to highlight those tasty, beautiful, –dare we say– sexy burgers that just plain rock our shit. When we find a burger that makes us all gooey inside, we'll give it its rightful adulation and feature it here and at BYT. Another Day, Another Burger Joint
Complain all you want about another burger joint opening up in the D.C. area, it'll mean one less person in our way for the goods. The latest burger news is Wiinkys which looks set to open in Ballston later this spring. Its the first we've heard of the place so we don't have much else to go on except for a demo website.
