UPDATE: Social Burger is now slinging the beef in Vienna but Citizen Burger Bar has pushed back their Clarendon opening until January. Three new burger joints set to open in Northern Virginia by the end of this year have been hit with delays (naturally), but two are still on track to make their debuts in the next few months. Social Burger in Vienna is just a few weeks behind schedule and should open at the end of September and Citizen Burger Bar, coming to Clarendon, originally planned for a late summer opening but is now expected to start slinging the beef this November. Citizen owner Andy McClure says after a difficult time with the permit process, things are now looking good. "I can't wait to open in Arlington," he told Burger Days. Finally, Zinburger has pushed back its planned fall opening in Springfield to the first quarter of 2015. A rep for the wine-burger-bar hybrid told us they had to move spaces in the currently under-renovation Springfield Mall (now, Springfield Town Center), thus the delay. Until then, we wait...
