disappointing start to National Hamburger Week, we weren't playing this go round so we went for a sure-thing and hit up brgr:shack for the burger goods tonight.
Despite all their menu options, they made it easy on us. One look at the burger of the month and our order was decided. The {OH:MAMA} hooked it up with double cheddar, applewood smoked bacon, BBQ sauce and two beer battered onion rings. Seriously, how could we turn that down?
And the burger didn't disappoint. Not in the slightest.
The patty was juicy, the BBQ sauce was sweet but not overpowering, the cheddar was deliciously melty and the bacon was smoky. The best part of it all, though, was the onion rings. They were crunchy, crispy and the distinctive, bold taste from the beer battered outside was present in each bite.  All-in-all, it's a great combo of toppings. Of course we got our starch on too and ordered the fries-- we doubled up with the regular and sweet potato versions with a side of shack sauce.
And after their kick-ass Nutella shake of the month for April, we couldn't pass up this month's {butter:cake} made with vanilla ice cream, butterscotch syrup and bits of Tastykake Butterscotch Krimpets throughout-- including a fat piece floating on top.
Good Lord, do they know how to make a shake.
The new kids on the burger block are doing it, and doing it well, and they helped us get back on track in our week-long burger binge.
We can safely say National Hamburger Week Day 2 was a rousing success.
