We called Tysons Corner the D.C.-area's biggest burger mecca last August and now the mall's burger slingers are going head-to-head in a Father's Day Battle of the Burgers. If you have the energy to wade through the teenage mall rats, on Sunday, June 9, you can get a taste of a selection of mini burgers available from noon - 2 p.m. on the first floor of Tysons Corner Center (the Fashion Court, for those in the know) between Nordstrom and Bloomingdale's. Participating restaurants include La Sandia, Gordon Biersch, Brio Tuscan Grille, Seasons 52, BGR The Burger Joint, Cafe Deluxe and The Capital Grille. One glaring omission from the battle's lineup is Five Guys, which has a location in the mall's food court. (Also, La Sandia doesn't even have a burger on its menu.) Also, the site calls it a "Father's Day Battle of the Burgers," but Father's Day isn't until the 16th... Weird.
