A new month and a new batch of BOTMs hits us in the face. Well, it's kinda new. The batch itself is new, yeah, but half of the foursome are repeats. We've been following the burger game long enough to realize that when it comes to BOTMs, most of the joints just recycle their burgers year-after-year. We're not complaining too much, however, because it lets us get a taste of old favorites like this month's doozie from BGR, but when we still lack a hometown burg from a certain joint on K Street, it makes us almost want to kick a Food Network star in the teeth. Almost.
Are you a Texican or a Texican't?
brb be right burger
Instead of all this wall-building nonsense, why don't we just combine Texas and Mexico into one glorious Super Land filled with rodeos and tacos? No dice? Ok, well then we'll just settle for one chili-rubbed Super Burger topped with jalapeno mayo, pico de gallo, Monteray Jack and avocado, served on a special jalapeno-cheddar bun. It shall be known as
The Texican.
Shake of the Month: A
Chocolate Covered Strawberry shake is all you need for your Valentine this month. (Yeah, right.)

BGR The Burger Joint
One of our many mottos is:
the more meat, the better. So when someone combines beef, pork and poultry together on one bun, it's a damn near religious experience for us. Good thing we've been practicing our Hail Marys because back on the menu at BGR this February is the bacon, egg (sunny side up, of course), jalapeno and cheddar topped
Triple D burger. Amen.
Shake of the Month: Well, it's not like a
Chocolate Covered Strawberry is the most original idea for a February shake now....

Bobby's Burger Palace
"See, it's February and since it's February, we might as well give a nod to Mardi Gras because February is the month that Mardi Gras takes place. And since Mardi Gras takes place in New Orleans and New Orleans is in the state of Louisiana, let's call this burger the
Louisiana burger and make it all spicy and shit. Yeah, let's spice-crust this thing and add pepperjack, griddled tasso ham, spicy remoulade and hot sauce. Yeah, let's do that."

Dogwood Tavern
Dogwood has always been straight and to the point with their BOTMs. Nothing too fancy, nothing too chef-y, just a burger and an unconventional topping or two and then --BAM-- a BOTM. This month we've got said burger and this time on top is a pile of mac and cheese with Andouille Sausage AKA
The Mac and Cheeseburger. BAM!
