It looks like pizza is the flavor of the moment, with Dogfish Head's Gaithersburg alehouse hooking up the Pepperoni Pizza Burger for their special this week. But unlike Dogwood's BOTM, this pepperoni, mozzarella and marinara sauce-topped burg comes with two half pound patties. In Fairfax, it's tatanka time with a fresh-ground bison burger served straight up with lettuce, tomato and red onion. Dogfish in Falls Church does the repeat thing again with the Chipotle Caramelized Onion Burger equipped with, yes, chipotle caramelized onions, mozzarella cheese, avocado, chipotle ketchup and lettuce on a brioche bun. All Dogfish burger specials run Monday through Sunday.
