Burger Tap and Shake is about to double its presence in D.C. with a second location set to open on Wisconsin Avenue in Tenleytown. A rep for the Foggy Bottom joint confirmed the burger slinger's expansion plans to Burger Days, though no opening date has been set yet. Passion Food's BTS, which first opened in 2011 at the corner of Pennsylvania and 22nd, will expand to the development at 4445 Wisconsin Avenue NW. The Tenleytown, D.C. blog points out that the property owner already has a mock-up showing BTS signage at the 2,254 square foot space. In addition to its stellar draft lineup and menu of burgers, including the Six Buck Chuck and the 2011 BOTY Apache Sweat Lodge, BTS is a member of the Burger of the Month club with a new limited-time burger each month. This month's is the Tijuana Hangover with pepperjack, roasted chiles, XXX sauce and a fried egg.
