Because there's no such thing as too many burgers, another new beef-and-bun franchise is debuting this week in D.C. The Boston-based chain, Tasty Burger, will open its first D.C. location this Thursday in Shaw at 11 a.m. The joint (which just so happens to serve the "official burger of the Boston Red Sox") has a menu filled with the typical burger constructs including all the usual suspects, a signature burger called the Big Tasty (cheese, lettuce, pickle, red onion, tomato and its own special sauce), a jalapeno burger, chili cheese burger, breakfast burger and more. Nothing too exciting but our interest was most definitely piqued by a take-away option called the "Sack of 5 Burgers" for under $30 bucks... We could see that coming in handy ALL THE TIME. Also on the menu are chicken sandwiches, hot dogs and salads. The 1,800-square foot location is also the first Tasty Burger to feature a full bar serving up beer, wine and cocktails-- all good things.
