UPDATE: Eater DC confirms the Shack will open on Tuesday, May 17 at 11 a.m. Sounds like the opening of the much-anticipated Shake Shack on the corner of 18th and Jefferson in D.C. is just a week-and-a-half away. Prince of Petworth writes that a manager of the joint says it should be opening the week of May 16th. Excellent timing– it's the same week we get back from our burger run through Sin City and it'll be the perfect welcome back to the East Coast burger scene. We're stoked. A second D.C. Shack location, inside Nats Stadium, is set to open later this Spring.
