The burgers are all over the creativity scale this month with a July BOTM doppelganger, another District snub from Mr. Flay, a Tunisian creation and one that's almost certainly got Dr. Lecter's lips smacking.
Coming of two stellar BOTMs, Foggy Bottom's Burger Tap & Shake keeps it going with the non-beef burgs again this month breaking out the oh-so-cleverly named lamb burger, the Clarice Starling. Featuring a fresh-ground lamb patty, pickled red onions, goat cheese, mint pesto and a Chianti mustard aioli, this burger makes us want to put lotion all over our skin.
Shake of the Month: Do you love ice cream? Do you love pie? Then get the Key Lime Pie SOTM at BTS.

The Falls Church sports bar goes Mediterranean this month with the Harissa burger. The beef gets mixed up with the spicy chili paste and then is topped with fresh mozzarella and a cucumber pico with tomato, onions, garlic and lemon.

(We're always on the lookout for BOTMs. If you know of another D.C.-area joint that hooks up a monthly special burger, email us and let us know.)
