We've done fancy-ass burger before, but never fancy-ass pop up burgers. Next month, however, Trummer's on Main will give us that chance. From April 9 until May 2, on Tuesdays through Thursdays, the swanky joint out in Clifton will be slinging the burgers when it hosts a pop up burger bar in its Gallery Room. And since this is coming from Trummer's, they ain't no greasy, road side burgs. These things are backing some serious fanciness. The pop up's roster runs the gamut from the we-don't-consider-them-real-burgers choices of tuna, shrimp, chicken and veggie to the now-this-is-what-we're-talking-about beef, pork and lamb burgs. The standouts for us are the Notorious P.I.G. with pork, pork sausage, poblano pepper, pepper jack and bacon and Farmer's Burger with pork, braised pork belly, a fried hen egg, apple jam and rapini. The burgers range from $8-12, but if you're aiming to get really fancy, make sure you bring the loot. The signature T Burger checks in at just eight bucks, but with the option of going Richie Rich by adding bone marrow ($7), duck ham ($5), cheese ($1), or the ballin'-est of 'em all foie gras at $15, will run that total up in a hurry. Along with the burgs, the pop-up will also have a bunch of handspun milkshakes including a cereal-inspired Fruit Loops variety and some spiked options like the Caramel Corn with rum and Tuaca and Cherry Blossom with tequila, Combier and jalapeno. If you're not down with the ice cream, regular old booze will be on hand with $3 PBR on draft and $5 draft Stiegls. The Burger Bar runs for 12 days at Trummer's on Main Tuesday through Thursday from 5 - 10 p.m., from April 9 - May 2. The full Burger Bar pop up menu:
