All things considered, this month's batch of BOTMs is sounding pretty damn tasty. Along with June's potentially delicious beef-on-a-bun creations, the BOTM club gets a shake up as Be Right Burger drops out of the mix but we see another joint step up to fill its greasy shoes. We should have seen it coming as BRB's last two entries have been a bit weak (a burger on a sub roll and then a steak and cheese sandwich), but rather than nix them all together, they're scaling it back to a once-every-couple-of-months thing-- but that frequency just doesn't cut it as a BOTM. Tempering our disappointment, however, is the entry (at least temporarily) of one of our favorites, Burger Tap & Shake, into the Club.  

Burger Tap & Shake

We're not entirely sure how long BTS is going to continue with their BOTMs, but we're going to do our best to enjoy them while they last. After a turkey burger in March (eh), a tuna burger in May (bah) and a salmon burger in June (ugh), the Club's newest member continues the non-beef route this month. The Foggy Bottom burger slingers bring the bison to the bun in June and top it with Buffalo mozzarella (naturally), tobacco onions and chipotle sauce. BGR The Burger Joint

A Burger Days favorite returns to the plate at BGR this month with the certainly-not-politically-correct-but-absolutely-tasty White Trash burger (though, BGR is going the PC route once again and calling it the Pulled Pork BBQ). The name may be boring but the burger is not, as pulled pork and coleslaw on the beef is nothing short of deliciousness. This one deserves a spot in your face. Bobby's Burger Palace

Bobby's Burger Palace rolls out the Caesar Burger once again and, despite all the grief we give the Food Network star each month, we're kinda feeling this thing. A burger topped with caesar mayo, romaine hearts, Parmesan and black pepper is akin to eating a salad AND a burger so they cancel each other out and you're totally sticking to that diet. 2121 K Street, NW | DC | bobbysburgerpalace.com | @bobbysburgerpal  

Dogwood Tavern

We have to hand it to Dogwood. While their execution may not always be up to snuff, their BOTM creations are some of the more creative of the lot. This month they're going south of the border with the Taco Burger-- an Angus beef and taco seasoning-mixed burger with shredded lettuce, pico de gallo, guacamole and tortilla strips.
