Back to Reality: Here’s Dogfish’s New Burgers of the Week

The worst thing about going to the SoBe Burger Bash is coming back from the SoBe Burger Bash.
The re-adjustment to D.C. life in February ain't easy after spending a weekend with sandy beaches, 80 degree weather and last calls that go well after breakfast.
"You're telling me we can't eat burgers and drink beer for three hours straight with just a wrist band?
"It's only 1:30 a.m., why the hell are you turning on the lights in the bar?"
"And what's with all this fucking snow?"
Yeah, it's pretty terrible.
Anyway, as we continue to fondly reminisce on our beefy bonanza and silently curse our current locale, here are the specials at Dogfish Head Alehouse this week:
I guess if we can't still
be in paradise, at least we can eat like it, right? Bah, whatever. The Fairfax Alehouse rubs it in our face this week with the
Hawaiian Burger topped with Canadian bacon, grilled pineapple, melted Swiss and a Thai glaze. Nah, it's not the same.
In Falls Church, Dogfish keeps the Swiss and Canadian bacon but swaps out the glaze and pineapple for tarragon mayo and calls it the
Cordon Bleu. And finally, it's pretzel time in Gaithersburg with the
Gourmet Pretzel Burger with gouda, caramelized onions, dijon honey mustard, lettuce and tomato on a soft-baked pretzel bun.
Dogfish's Burgers of the Week are available through Sunday.
