This week was a busy week for burger news in D.C. We saw yet another "Best Of" announcement, a couple new burger joint updates, the area's most famous burger doesn't get their "lease" renewed,  and, one fancy burger in Old Town. Click on for this week in Burger Days...

Burger Days Visits Old Town & Rocks the J20

We hit up Jackson 20 in Old Town and not only were blown away by their fancy-ass J20 Burger, but also met the coolest metal pig ever. [Jackson 20 Rocks the Fancy]

Z Burger Making Their Way to the V.A.

The fast-food style, some would say Five Guys clone, Z Burger is coming to Arlington. The D.C.-based burger joint is looking to open at the corner of Wilson and N. Kenmore sometime this summer. [D.C.'s Z Burger is Crossing the River | via ARLnow]

Nats Kick Five Guys to the Curb

Word that the Five Guys concession stand located inside Nats Park wasn't returning this season was met with a bunch of burger boos. Now, we learn it wasn't the franchise's decision, the Nats never renewed their contract. Weak, Nats. Weak. [Five Guys Out at Nationals Park | via Eater D.C.]

We Can Almost Smell the Shack...And It Smells Glorious

Our bellies have been growling in anticipation ever since we heard the news Shake Shack was coming to D.C. last year. Never ones to count our burgers before their cooked, we were happy to hear they're now advertising for positions. [Shake Shack Gettin' Closer | via DCist]   And finally, a Burger Days burger rant:

City Paper Names Ray's, Bourbon Steak D.C.'s Best Burgers

The Washington City Paper came out with their annual "Best of D.C." list and they deemed Arlington's Ray's Hell Burger and D.C.'s Bourbon Steak the tops of the bunch. We have no problem with that, but we do with the wishy-washy write up that accompanied the selections. [City Paper's Best Burger Cop Out]
