8 lb. Monster Burger Coming to Nationals Park
UPDATE: A Nats rep tells us the burger will first be available April 3 for the Nationals exhibition vs. the Red Sox. They have yet to finalize pricing and there are no pre-order requirements. Word is it'll cost $59 and is only available on select home games.
Gigantic burgers are nothing new to the D.C. Â scene --
BGR's been hooking up a nine-pound monster for a while now-– but soon you'll be able to get a mega burger while root, root, rootin' for the home team this season.
The Red Porch in Nationals Park has just introduced their own version of the
StrasBurger, dwarfing all others sharing the name.
Dan Steinberg reports the new burger will be
eight freaking pounds (toppings included)-- a combo of brisket, chuck and short rib, served with secret sauce, American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and pickles. This big-ass hunk of meat will be served up with fries and pitcher of soda. No word yet on price.
Less than a pound per inning? Piece of cake! Give us a bib and some Pepto and we'll knock it out no problem.
In other Nats Park burger news, two will be highlighted at the Taste of the Majors stand during the season: the Colorado "Mile High" Burger and Pitts Burger Platter will be on tap when the Rockies and Pirates come to town.
All this new stadium burger action comes just a year after the Nats more or less
kicked Five Guys out of the park to welcome in Shake Shack...
