BLTs, Monte Cristos & Fancy-Ass Burgers Comin’ to Your Face in June [BOTMs]

French toast is delicious because it's fried bread covered in sugar. But what makes the breakfast staple even better? Tossing a burger into the mix. Check out this month's Monte Cristo BOTM and more below.

Burger Tap & Shake

Because bathing suit season is upon us, here's something that'll help you squeeze into those Speedos. Or not. For June's BOTM, Burger Tap & Shake debuts The Count of Monte Cristo packing a beef burger with Swiss cheese, shaved ham, turkey, a Dijon aioli and raspberry jam between two thick, powdered sugar-covered slices of French toast. So slimming. 2200 Pennsylvania Ave NW | 4445 Wisconsin Avenue NW | DC |

Bobby's Burger Palace

The Napa Valley burger returns to the menu for June at Bobby's Burger Palace and brings all that fancy shit along with it. There's fresh goat cheese, Meyer-lemon honey mustard and watercress. Oh la la. Eat this one with your pinky out. [Burger Days Review, June 2014] 2121 K Street, NW | DC |

Dogwood Tavern

We've never been fans of the BLT because, honestly, it's just a few toppings between two slices of bread. Seriously, give us some damn meat already. Fortunately, Dogwood feels our pain. For its latest BOTM, the Falls Church joint is busting out the BLT Burger, equipped with all the appropriate toppings – heirloom tomato, lettuce, provolone and basil mayo – but then adds the one thing missing from the endless number of BLTs that have been served since the dawn of man: a big, fat hunk of meat. Thank you, Dogwood. Thank you very much. 132 West Broad Street | Falls Church |

Social Burger

Ever since the Vienna burger joint wowed us in March with its gut-busting mac-and-cheese burger, Social Burger has been seriously failing the BOTM test. For the third consecutive month, the beef is absent from Social Burger's limited-time burger, this time as the California Turkey Club. Not only is it a bird patty, but it's topped with rabbit food: avocado, sprouts, lettuce, tomato and a choice of ranch or pickled red beet mayo. We long for the Social Burger BOTMs of yesterday... 350 Maple Avenue West | Vienna|   (We're always on the lookout for BOTMs. If you know of another D.C.-area joint that hooks up a monthly special burger, email us and let us know.)
