Building on last year's successful debut, fancy-ass Clifton joint Trummer's on Main is bringing back their pop-up burger bar for another run beginning tonight. Seven burgers will be featured on the special menu, though we'll be focusing on just four of them, as the tuna, chicken and falafel "burgers" make us cry at their inclusion. Fortunately, we have great confidence the remaining, true burger creations will adequately sop up our greasy tears. The standouts of the pop up include the Primanti Brothers-inspired, french-fry-topped Bacon Pittsburger with housemade Rolling Rock sauerkraut and, on the other end of the spectrum, a Surf & Turf burger featuring 28-day dry-aged beef burger topped with a 12 oz lobster tail, diablo sauce and oven-roasted tomatoes. The crustacean-topped sucker will set you back 19 bucks, but come on, look at that thing-- it's f**king beautiful. Rounding out the mammal burgers are the Miami Cuban with "Surryano" ham, B&B pickles, provolone and spicy mustard and a plain T Burger available with cheddar, bleu cheese or provolone. And because you simply can't have a 12 oz. lobster-tail-topped burger without gravy-covered fries, there's a quartet of sides available including poutine with andouille-sausage gravy, truffle mac and cheese and a kale Caesar salad (for those that order the falafel burger. Probably.). Plus, there's boozy milkshakes.  Trummer's burger bar runs every Tuesday through Thursday, from 5:30 - 9:30 p.m. starting today, Tuesday, March 11 through May 29.
