This Week in Burger Days: Shack Hits the Park, the Oh-So-Pretty One Eye & the BOTM

After last week's onslaught of D.C. burger news, things slowed down a bit this time: we've got an out-of-towner replacing a local favorite at the park, a Foodspotting superstar from Stoney's and the Burger of the Month. Make like Frogger and take the jump for more.

The One Eye: This is a Burger

One of our favorite burgers in D.C. is a simple beast: a bun, a patty, an egg and some bacon. It's called the One Eye and Stoney's version is as good as it comes. It also takes for a hell of a beautiful burger photo as Foodspotting recognized our shot of it as its #DishoftheDay this past Wednesday. [This is a Burger]

See Ya Five Guys, Hello Shake Shack!

Last week, we learned that the reason Five Guys was leaving Nationals Park was because they never got asked back. Now, we have a better idea why: a burger replacement in the form of New York-based super stud Shake Shack will be coming to the stadium this Spring. While our stomachs are elated we'll have another burger to feast on, we're not quite sure how to take the fact that our excellent, local joint got booted out of the hometown ballpark by an out-of-towner. The Turkey Gobbles at BGR This April

The Burger Joint went all poultry on us this time with their Burger of the Month. It's the Turkey Cobb and brings the bird with lettuce, tomato, bacon, blue cheese and avocado this April. Ok, BGR, we'll bite on your turkey, just as long as you keep your beefy options close by. [ BGR Rolls Into Spring with the Turkey Cobb ]
