Fresh off a week in which we saw a new joint debut in Nats Park and news an old favorite was returning to DuPont, we get word of not one, but two new burger joints coming to the area this week. Also, the return of a beefy July 4th weekend tradition. Get your knees flexin' and your arms T-rexin' and creep into This Week in Burger Days...

New Burger Joint of the Week

Last weekend we shockingly learned of a new burger joint coming to the area and this week we got the inside scoop from the people behind the future Be Right Burger in Reston Town Center. Some highlights include Angus beef, touchscreen menus and a personal burger history log. Yup, your burger consumption will now be officially tracked by the Man. New Burger Joint of the Week Part II

And since this is D.C., news of one new burger joint just isn't enough. Word of an upcoming "gourmet" burger joint hit the Internet when signs for The Big Board popped up in the former Toyland location on H St. NE in the District. We're hearing booze prices will be served stock-market style with prices fluid during peak hours. Just give us a burger and the cheap stuff and we'll be fine. [ D.C. Let the Stomach Stretching Commence....

Another year and another burger massacre on tap at Z-Burger on Independence Day weekend. On June 30 and July 1, the third annual Independence Burger Eating Contest will take place at the joint's locations in Tenleytown and White Marsh where peeps from all over will compete to see who's the top glutton. Feelin' lucky? Last year's champ, Furious Pete, knocked down 23 in 10 minutes and will be looking for a three-peat. [ Get Your Glutton On at Z-Burger's Independence Day Eat-Off ]
