Traditionally, our weekends consist of equal amounts of eating and drinking and sleeping. Super Bowl weekend, however, skews the ratio in favor of booze and grub, so we're elated these area joints are pulling out the stops for the game and hooking up specials to satisfy our hunger. We can most definitely dig it.

Mad Fox Brewing Company

It's this. Plus a whole lot more.

When we first got the news of this one, our hearts skipped a beat. Normally that happens when we miss our regular dose of Lipitor, but in this case, it was caused by reading this burger's description. Ready for this? On top of a 1/2 pound patty, they're piling on smoked Gouda, sauteed mushrooms, caramelized onions, fresh jalapenos, tomato jam and, yup, motherf@$king bacon jam. We've waxed poetically about this glorious topping plenty of times, so read up. And if you haven't dipped into this stuff yet, get on it-- this burger is only available Friday through Sunday. 444 West Broad Street | Falls Church | madfoxbrewing.com

Kraze Burgers

[blackbirdpie url="https://twitter.com/#!/getKRAZE/status/162219009436168192"] The Korean burger transplant's first U.S. location in Bethesda is taking half-off all burgers this Sunday. With the Crew still yet to break the seal on the Kraze Burger experience, we think this may be the perfect time to pay them a visit. 4733 Elm St. | Bethesda | kraze.us

Shake Shack

No burger deals or specials this weekend at the Shack, instead they're showing their love for the G-Men, wiener style. The Big Blue is a crisp, griddled Vienna all-beef dog topped with spicy, tomato-simmered onions and crumbled blue cheese for $4. Pints of custard are also on special: buy two, get one free. And, not leaving the boozers behind, they'll be serving up 2-for-1 drafts during the game Sunday. The hot dog and pint special is available all weekend long. 1216 18th Street NW | DC | shakeshack.com

Dogwood Tavern

Not a Super Bowl special, but Sunday just happens to be half-priced burger night at Dogwood, so if you're looking to catch the game and some cheap burgs, this spot will do you just fine. It's also a chance to get a piece of their February BOTM, the Creole Burger. In honor of Mardis Gras, the patty is a beef-andouille sausage-bell pepper-celery-and-onion mix topped with provolone and shrimp remoulade. Now all we need is some beads. 132 West Broad Street | Falls Church | dogwoodtavern.com
