In the latest group of BOTMs, another one of Santa's pets bites the dust at BTS, Dogwood gets inspired by the Danes and Bobby's Burger Palace tries to wow us with a salad burger. Check out all of December's burger below...

Burger Tap & Shake

Last year it was Blitzen and this time around, the red-nosed reindeer gets tossed in the grinder for BTS' December BOTM. The Rudolph is a char-griddled venison and pork patty topped with Gruyere, sweet and sour onions and cranberry mustard. Hey kids – Santa may not be real, but reindeer burgers certainly are.  2200 Pennsylvania Ave NW | DC | burgertapandshake.com  bbpcaesarbotm

Bobby's Burger Palace

Not sure how much excitement we can muster for a salad burger but that's just what we're getting from Bobby's Burger Palace. The Caesar Burger puts a whole lot of nothing on a burger this month. Ok, romaine hearts, parmesan, pepper and caesar mayo isn't exactly nothing, but it's not a whole hell of a lot either. 2121 K Street, NW | DC | bobbysburgerpalace.com

Well here's a unique creation from the crew at Dogwood as they bring Denmark to Falls Church with the Frikadeller. Basically, it's a giant pork-and-beef  meatball blended with onion, celery and spices, flattened, pan fried and served open face on toasted rye bread, covered with brown gravy alongside sweet and sour red cabbage. Oh word. 132 West Broad Street | Falls Church | dogwoodtavern.com    bgrprimeribburg

BGR The Burger Joint

The old yin to Dogwood's new yang, BGR is once again trotting out the Prime Rib Burger all through December. We wrote about the mashed potato, prime rib and Wellington mushroom-topped burger last month and, hey, it's still here. 9 Locations in D.C., Maryland and Virginia | bgrtheburgerjoint.com   (We're always on the lookout for BOTMs. If you know of another D.C.-area joint that hooks up a monthly special burger, email us and let us know.)
