Five Guys Out, Shake Shack In at Nats Park

We're still lamenting the fact that Five Guys was given the boot from Nationals Park, but now we hear another burger stud is joining the stadium. The Post's Tom Sietsema is reporting that New York-fave Shake Shack and their burgers and shakes will be coming to the party. This will be the Shack's first location in D.C., with another spot set to open on 18th Street later this year. The Shack come to the park with three other food concepts (fries, Mexican and barbecue) from NY restaurateur Danny Meyer. All four new spots will be located along the Miller Lite Scoreboard Walk on Club Level behind the main scoreboard. You'll get your first chance to hit up the Shack tomorrow, when the Nats open up their season vs. the Braves at 1:05 p.m. hopefully by early June. We're stoked at the news and this definitely brightens our spirits after hearing the news about Five Guys last week. But we can't help but feel divided between our loyalty to our local burger super stars and our craving for the NYC guys. What do you think? Is Shake Shack a suitable replacement for Five Guys at Nats Park? (The Nationals press release on the park's new additions)
