When November rolls around, we're used to seeing an influx of turkey burgers into the BOTM mix. Not so this year. We're not sure what happened this time but there's not a single bird burg in the lineup this month. Instead, hybrids take center stage with two D.C. joints splicing sandwiches with burgers and one combing pizza with the beef. Breathe easy, turkeys, you got yourselves a pardon.

BGR The Burger Joint

The newest, limited-time creation at BGR isn't really all that new. The Cuban, an ex-menu item that was ditched earlier this year, is now back with roasted pork, ham, pickles, mustard and Swiss on top of a dry-aged beef patty. We liked the original, so let's see if we dig the redux. (Notably missing this year: BGR's annual stuffing, gravy and cranberry-topped Thanksgiving on a Bun...)  Looks like BGR is busting out a new burger after all. Combining Thanksgiving and Christmas eats, The Burger Joint is putting a massive amount grub in their latest limited-time creation. Starting November 15 and running through the end of the year, The Prime Rib will feature, of course,  prime rib, mashed potatoes and BGR's Wellington topping along with a demi glaze sauce all on a beef patty. Burger Tap & Shake

BTS is bringing a little Western New York to D.C. this month with the Burger "Beef" on Weck. The regional sandwich features shaved roast beef, Swiss and horseradish aioli on a kummelweck roll and since this is a burger after all, there's a chargriddled beef patty in the mix. Bobby's Burger Palace

One would think a man as creative as Bobby Flay is in the kitchen could stand to be a little more creative when it comes to naming his burgers. I mean, shit, if he can't be bothered to come up with a decent moniker for his meat, the dude has an entire marketing team working for him – surely they can come up with something better than this. Bah, whatever. Anyway, the November burger from Mr. Flay's Burger Palace puts pimento cheese, bacon and tomato on a patty and is called...the Pimento Cheese Burger.  2121 K Street, NW | DC | bobbysburgerpalace.com  

 Dogwood Tavern

Burgers are great. Pizza is great. But are pizza burgers great?
