The latest BOTM roundup is chock full of Louisiana spice as three of four joints go with the Mardi Gras theme in February. From remoulade and Andouille to Tasso and Zydeco, if you try 'em all just be prepared to spend some quality time with the toilet this month. bbplousianabotm

Bobby's Burger Palace

Another southern-styled burger from Flay, Bobby's Burger Palace goes with his cajun-inspired Louisiana burger in February. The spice-crusted patty sounds like it should be chock full of heat with pepper jack, Tasso ham, spicy remoulade and red hot sauce but our experience with the burger last year was more salt overload than fiery goodness. Burger Tap & Shake

Fat Tuesday is our favorite day of the year. Obese Thursday is a close second. This month, BTS honors our day of days with a Bourbon Street-inspired creation featuring a burger "Po' Boy" with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, mozzarella, provolone, olive salad and a spicy Zydeco sauce. No word if throwing beads gets you a little something extra.  2200 Pennsylvania Ave NW | DC | burgertapandshake.com

CREOLEburgDogwood Tavern

Everybody else is doing it, so why not Dogwood? Back after two years, Dogwood Tavern's Cajun burger returns to the scene for Mardi Gras month. A blackened-Angus beef patty is mixed with Andouille sausage, celery, onion and bell peppers and then topped with provolone and shrimp remoulade. And, in keeping with the spirit, the Falls Church joint's Micro of the Month is Abita Mardi Gras Bock. 132 West Broad Street | Falls Church | dogwoodtavern.com    buffalobleuBD

BGR The Burger Joint

BGR is keeping with its non-monthly rotation of burgers so the Buffalo Bacon Bleu is back with a Frank's Red Hot Sauce patty, blue cheese dressing, bacon and celery sticks is back. (Burger Days Review, Dec 2013) 11 Locations in D.C., Maryland and Virginia | bgrtheburgerjoint.com   (We're always on the lookout for BOTMs. If you know of another D.C.-area joint that hooks up a monthly special burger, email us and let us know.)
