They're all about to get Flay-ed.

UPDATE: Check out the line outside the new spot just after noon today. Thanks to @cyndudz for the pic!)

The sixth location of celeb-chef and Entourage star Bobby Flay's Bobby's Burger Palace opens its doors at 11 a.m. noon today at 2121 K Street NW in D.C. The Food Network star is bringing 10 of his signature Angus beef burger creations to his new District joint, ranging from the Palace Classic Burger (American cheese, lettuce, tomato and red onion) and Philadelphia Burger (provolone, griddled onions and hot peppers) to some more highfalutin West Coast options like the L.A. Burger (avocado relish, watercress, cheddar and tomato) or Nappa Valley (goat cheese, watercress and Meyer lemon honey mustard). And of course, any burger on the menu can be "crunchfied" with a handful of potato chips on top for free. You can swap out the beef  for chicken or turkey as well-- if you swing that way.

There be chips on that there burger.

On the side, beer-battered onion rings and fries, both regular and sweet potato, are available. The fries can be hooked up with Flay's fry sauce-- a blend of mayo, roasted red and chipotle peppers and spices or a honey mustard horseradish sauce. And what would a D.C. burger joint be without shakes? Ten different flavors including Black and White, Pistachio, Mango, Cola, Coffee and Blueberry-Mango will be available, as well as a trio of "spiked" shakes: Vanilla Caramel Bourbon, Pineapple Coconut Rum and Mocha Kahlua Vodka. The booze doesn't end there as they'll be slingin' beers (Bud, Miller Lite, Dogfish IPA, Sierra and more)  and wine. As an added bonus, you can also have a pleasant time sippin' on their Frozen Cactus Pear Margaritas. (Ge-ge-geyeahhh, can I live?) The 76-seat restaurant will be open daily, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday. Press release after the jump: FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE BOBBY SAYS WE’RE GOIN’ TO THE BBP! CHEF BOBBY FLAY OPENS BOBBY’S BURGER PALACE (BBP) TODAY IN WASHINGTON, D.C. Bobby Reminds You To Crunchify Any Burger Washington, D.C. (August 16, 2011) — Today, Bobby Flay, acclaimed chef, restaurateur, television personality and cookbook author, opens Bobby’s Burger Palace in Washington, D.C. [2121 K Street NW, 202-974-6260]. Located in the heart of downtown D.C., BBP presents an array of burgers inspired by Bobby’s extensive travels throughout America and his love of the grill in a convenient casual setting. From north to south, coast to coast, each BBP burger is Bobby’s tribute to America’s regional flavors and traditions, made with only premium-quality ingredients and condiments. “At any time of year, my favorite thing to eat is a cheeseburger,” says Bobby. “And at the BBP, I celebrate America’s variety of flavors, styles and cultures surrounding this classic staple, offering a selection of specialty burgers, served at a great price.” Sides such as hand-cut French Fries served with BBP Fry Sauce (Bobby’s own blend of mayonnaise, roasted red and chipotle peppers, and spices) and Beer Battered Onion Rings along with Griddled Cheese Sandwiches and Milkshakes & Malteds are available to create the ultimate BBP meal. THE BURGERS Cooked to order, 10 signature burgers – including the Philadelphia Burger with Provolone cheese, griddled onions and hot peppers; Buffalo Style Burger with red hot sauce, blue cheese dressing and watercress; the Dallas Burger spice crusted with coleslaw, Monterey Jack, BBQ sauce, and pickles; the Santa Fe Burger with queso sauce, pickled jalapeños, and blue corn chips; and the Palace Classic Burger with American cheese, lettuce, tomato and red onion – are all served on a sesame seed bun. All burgers may be prepared with Certified Angus Beef or ground turkey; guests may also choose grilled chicken breast. Any of these combinations may be served topless, where the burger or grilled chicken is simply stacked onto a bed of greens without the bun. For an additional dose of bold flavor, choose from the BBP’s selection of sauces, including Chipotle Ketchup, BBP Burger Sauce, Jalapeño Hot Sauce, and Yellow Mustard. GETTIN’ CRUNCHIFIED? When dining at the BBP, Bobby reminds you to get your burger crunchified, which means top any BBP burger with crisp chips at no additional cost. “My side of chips always ended up in my burger, so developing ‘crunchification’ was natural; a burger’s overall texture is just as important as flavor,” says Bobby. “Plus crunchification is not only fun, it’s a great way to create the perfect burger, bite for bite, crunch for crunch.” Crunchified selections include the Crunchburger® with double American cheese and potato chips and the Crunch Salad with chopped vegetables, romaine, crispy tortillas, white cheddar cheese cubes and balsamic dressing. GETTIN’ THIRSTY? With or without real whipped cream, 10 Milkshakes & Malteds in flavors such as Cola, Vanilla Bean, Dark Chocolate, Coconut, Mango, Black and White, and Blueberry-Pomegranate hit the spot during or after a meal at the BBP. Spiked Milkshakes are also available in flavors such as Vanilla Caramel Bourbon, Pineapple Coconut Rum and Mocha Kahlúa Vodka. Other spirited refreshments include bottled beers such as Budweiser, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Dogfish IPA and non-alcoholic Buckler; Frozen Cactus Pear Margaritas, with or without salt; and custom blended BBP Red and BBP White wine-by-the-glass. Fountain & bottled sodas, iced tea and lemonade are also available to quench any thirst.  THE SET-UP The 76-seat BBP is a nod to a classic burger joint, emblazoned with fiery red, bold yellow and vibrant green hues that Bobby is so known for. BBP is outfitted with a central serpentine corian dining counter complemented by vivid green leather bar stools. Here, guests sit at the counter, socialize with friends and other patrons, while their food and drinks are quickly delivered. Bright and visible from K Street, the counter is echoed by a dramatic ribbon-like light fixture with brown, orange and yellow stripes. A floor-to-ceiling feature wall encasing the BBP’s kitchen is a mosaic of wood, bamboo and bright green, brown and orange glass tiles. Pendant lamps create a gradation of amber color where light shines through tiny bubbles providing a glow throughout the restaurant. Photographs of farm-fresh ingredients also adorn the BBP’s walls.  THE TAKEAWAY The BBP Signature Collection of trademark sauces and rubs, six products in all, are available for purchase on-premise at all BBP locations. The Collection includes products such as Bobby’s Burger Palace Barbecue Sauce (9.7oz; $10), perfect for brushing on a burger during the last few minutes of cooking or grilling or simply used as a condiment on a burger; Bobby’s Burger Palace Fry Sauce (9.7 oz.; $10), to serve alongside french fries; and Bobby’s Burger Palace Burger Rub (3.4oz.; $8), an earthy combination of spices and ground chiles that adds flavor to any burger of choice.
