krazelogoThe New Year is not boding well for D.C.-area  burger chains. For the second time this month, a local chain joint has closed up shop with Kraze Burger in Bethesda Row going dark just weeks after BGR shuttered in Clarendon. Robert Dyer first reported the Kraze news on his blog Wednesday night.  Kraze's Bethesda Row spot, the first-ever U.S. location for the Korea-based joint, opened in November of 2011 and closes after filing for bankruptcy earlier this month. We've reached out to Kraze several times for more information since the bankruptcy news but we've received no response. Those with a hankering for a bit of bulgogi alongside their burgers can still get their fix at Kraze's five other D.C.-area locations in Montgomery Mall, Germantown, Barrack's Row, Tysons Galleria and Landsdowne. According to their website, there are also plans for BWI and NoMa locations later this year.
